Offered here is the 9th of 13 Rizla Suzukis commissioned by Suzuki UK to commemorate John Reynolds' 2004 British Superbike Championship-winning season. The accompanying copy of the Certificate of Authenticity states that it was built and prepared at the Crescent Suzuki Performance Centre, home of Team Rizla Suzuki. The special Rizla livery was applied by acknowledged experts, Dream Machine.
Ever since its arrival in 2001, Suzuki's GSX-R1000 superbike has been renowned for its class-leading power delivery combining a phenomenal top-end rush with excellent mid-range stomp. On the racetrack this has translated into overall wins for John Reynolds in the British Superbike Championship in 2004; the World Superbike Championship in 2005 for Troy Corser; and countless AMA championships for Mat Mladin and Ben Spies.
Purchased by the private vendor in 2025, having been stored for a year or so, this Rizla Suzuki has since undergone careful recommissioning at Double O Motorcycles of Bedford in March 2026 at a cost of £930.99 (see detailed invoice on file). The work included a service, new chain and sprockets, new tyres and an MoT.
