1994 Ducati 916 Strada Monoposto Registration no. M372 ARP Frame no. 001830 Engine no. 001640

Sold for £10,925 inc. premium

1994 Ducati 916 Strada Monoposto
Registration no. M372 ARP
Frame no. 001830
Engine no. 001640

First registered on 15th August 1994, the Ducati 916 offered here is number '1830' from the first year of production. It was built in Varese, Italy while Ducati was under Cagiva ownership. The machine retains its original matching frame ('001830') and original engine ('001640'). Our vendor, its third owner, purchased the 916 on 29th March 2014. The machine comes with its original stamped Ducati service book; 916 owner's manual; and receipts and MoTs to 2011. All paperwork is included in the accompanying file. The Ducati has covered 19,047 miles from new, and none since its most recent MoT was issued in 2011, which is when it was last ridden.

The 916 is fitted with the aluminium subframe and single seat unit as standard, which only appears on the 1994 916 Strada and SP models, and only on SP/SPS models after 1994. Additionally, it is fitted with factory supplied carbon-fibre Termignoni end-cans (standard end-cans included in the sale). Also included is the original factory Ducati paddock stand finished in the same gold/bronze colour as the frame and wheels; the stand is in its original paint finish and in excellent condition (the vendor has not used it).

A full last-nut-and-bolt restoration was completed in 2023, with 99% of the work done by V-Twin Services in Consett (a photo DVD of the strip-down and rebuild is included in the sale). Any replaced parts are either new, genuine Ducati parts or refurbished period parts from the 1994 year of production, including the Cagiva elephant logos. The bike has not been ridden since the restoration and is described by the vendor as being close to 'as new' showroom condition, while the engine is started regularly and said to run beautifully. According to the private vendor: "The bike is 100% complete and in 100% working order – it could be ridden away from the sale." In short: this is as close as you can get to purchasing a brand new 1994 Ducati 916 Monoposto.
