1982 Honda CB900F Super Sport
Registration no. WPG 556Y
Frame no. SC014005562
Engine no. SC01E2216828

First registered in the UK on 12th August 1982, this CB900F Super Sport has had three former keepers recorded and displayed a total of 37,716 miles on the odometer at time of cataloguing. Notably, the machine benefits from long-term ownership, having remained with its first keeper for approximately 28 years and with the second custodian for over nine years. The third recorded keeper owned the machine only briefly prior to its acquisition by the current vendor in November 2020.

The vendor purchased the Honda out of a sense of nostalgia and to relive his youth (having owned the same model new) and has since enjoyed it on numerous touring trips, including visits to Ireland and Scotland's North Coast 500.

The history file is particularly comprehensive. Included are the V5C, MoT certificates, an original owner's handbook, and a substantial quantity of invoices and parts records spanning several years. These detail ongoing restoration, maintenance and recommissioning, with parts sourced from recognised suppliers including David Silver Spares and Cambrian Tyres.

Invoices on file evidence expenditure on a wide range of service and replacement items, including fork components, seals, gaskets, carburation and intake components, drive chain, braking parts, cables, tyres, and general consumables. Additional receipts from specialist suppliers such as Hi-Level testify to a programme of continued upkeep and a high level of attention given to maintenance.

The Honda is presented in its correct and appealing livery, and appears to be an honest, usable example. Cosmetic condition is consistent with sympathetic use, with some minor age-related wear visible to brightwork and cycle parts. The machine has also benefited from some replacement components, including aftermarket shock absorbers.

A well-maintained and well-documented example of Honda's early-1980s superbike, offered with a notably extensive history file, long-term ownership continuity, and evidence of enthusiast care. The vendor advises that there is an additional original exhaust systems in the sale.
