"Land Rover Reborn gives our customers the chance to own a piece of automotive history - a fully manufacturer restored Series I Land Rover. "We're going above and beyond to restore original Series Is, handpicked from across the globe for their authenticity. Each classic comes with a 12-month warranty – and a lifetime of history. "Land Rover Classic's Reborn programme takes Series I Land Rovers that are in a state of disrepair and returns them to their former glory." - Jaguar Land Rover

The Reborn programme's Series I Land Rovers are built in a specialist workshop located within the original Defender production centre at Solihull, where a dedicated team of experienced experts ensures the utmost authenticity. JLR: "Each and every Land Rover Series I has lived a very different life and has its own unique story to tell.
"This is why preserving a vehicle's authenticity and uniqueness is a crucial tenet of the Reborn programme. Our aim is to continue the Series I story, not rewrite it."

Prior to restoration, every vehicle is checked against the original build specifications and thoroughly examined to determine what needs to be restored. It is then dismantled and the panels restored and repainted by Land Rover Classic's approved bodyshop. Five original period colours are on offer: Light Green, Bronze Green, Royal Air Force Blue, Dove Grey and Poppy Red. Using the original techniques and processes, Land Rover Classic refinishes the vehicle while retaining as many original parts as possible, replacing them only when absolutely necessary. All components – even the smallest - are refinished to the original cosmetic specification, while the interior is re-trimmed in the customer's choice of period material. Each Series I engine is stripped and rebuilt at JLR's Power Train Department.

This Reborn Land Rover was ordered in 2017, specified in RAF Blue and with an MPH speedometer, and has covered a mere 600-or-so miles since delivery. Factory fitted optional extras include the following:

Leather front seats
Mat Set
Mirror Pack
Category 6 immobiliser and tracker
Second windscreen wiper
Circa £2,000-worth of other options

The vehicle is offered with a V5C Registration Certificate and a smart hardback book recounting the restoration/reborn journey from 'as found' to 'restored' via JLR Classic.
