The DKW F2, produced between 1932 and 1934, was a compact and economical car, powered by a 0.6-litre two-stroke engine producing 15 horsepower. With its innovative front-wheel drive, it offered superior stability and handling. The F2 Roadster, featuring a sleek open-body design, provided an engaging driving experience, reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h.
The DKW F2 Gebrüder Ihle Bruchsal is a rare and refined variant of the F2, bespoke-bodied by the renowned coachbuilder Gebrüder Ihle. Known for their craftsmanship, Ihle transformed the F2 into stylish roadster and cabriolet models. With only a limited number produced, these modified F2s are highly sought after, embodying a unique fusion of pioneering engineering and exceptional pre-war German artistry.
This DKW F2 #143289, powered by the 600 engine, was acquired by the current owner approximately ten years ago. It comes with a file including a few invoices, a positive inspection report from 2021, and its German registration title (Teil II only).
While the car has been well-maintained in the owner's own workshop, it has recently been kept on static display. As such, recommissioning will be required before it can return to the road.
