According to oral tradition and personal recollections, this unique prototype was a gift from Volkswagen's managing director to the father of the current owner, as a gesture of gratitude for a kind favour.
The father had lent his Horch to the managing director, allowing him to use the car to escort his daughter to her wedding and parade in style throughout the day. Although offered, the father declined any form of payment for the gesture.
A few weeks later, the managing director expressed his thanks by arranging for this prototype to be delivered, creating a lasting token of appreciation.
It is offered without any registration documents or other supporting documentation.
