1987 Honda XBR500
Registration no. D387 GYN
Frame no. PC15-5100993
Engine no. PC15E-5100992

In 2024 this smartly turned out Honda XBR was restored by former Manx Grand Prix competitor Mark Gant for his own use. The bike had been owned by his father prior to the rebuild. However, on completion he decided that the XBR was too small for his stature (over 6' tall). There are numerous invoices on file for parts purchased during the rebuild. The indicators, pillion footrests and exhaust are not original.

The sale also includes a spare pair of fork legs; original indicators; rear lights x2; oil tank; top yoke; right footrest bracket; headlamp shell x2; headlamp; various small components; and an original Honda workshop manual.

Please note: while the bike is said to run well (the vendor has ridden almost 600 miles during 2025) it runs a little rich and the carburettor may require fine tuning. A variety of jets is included in the sale. It should also be noted that in November 2001 this XBR was the subject of a Category C insurance loss: 'Vehicle extensively damaged but repairable. Insurer decided not to repair.' The machine is offered with a V5C and MoT to 14th May 2026 (no advisories).
