Engine no. TD1 246 (hand-engraved)
The example offered here is a modified TD1C purchased by Robert in 2009. According to a spec sheet on file, the chassis features a Spondon swingarm, Maxton suspension front and rear, and Scitsu rev-counter, while the braking remains faithful to original TD1C specification. The bike was equipped with a new tank, seat, and fairing.
The engine carries the hand-engraved number TD1 246 and has been upgraded with DS9 crankcases, TD2 gearbox, PVL ignition, and Wrathall cylinders, heads, and exhaust, reflecting a specification aimed at reliable and competitive classic racing. Running notes specify a 50/50 Avgas and super unleaded fuel mix, 25:1 Silkolene Pro 2 pre-mix, Silkolene SRG gear oil, and 2.0mm BTDC static ignition.
Scrutineering stickers from Mallory Park CRMC (30 June–1 July) remain affixed, together with a selection of other indistinct scrutineering stickers. The machine is offered with the aforementioned paperwork; however, while this states that the machine is CRMC-registered, no CRMC documents accompany it.
Prospective buyers should please note that whilst Robert actively started and maintained his collection, all machines are offered as requiring recommissioning to a greater or lesser extent.
