c.1973 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport
Registration no. Q264 RYT
Frame no. VK*11662*
Engine no. VK30541

An engine design that originated in the early post-war years, Moto Guzzi's venerable 90-degree v-twin is still around today in developed form powering the company's latest generation of motorcycles. The first motorcycle to make use of this remarkable engine, the 703cc V7, appeared in the late 1960s, and the first sports model, the V7 Sport, in 1971. The 748cc V7 Sport featured a new, lower frame for improved handling, alternator electrics, and an increase in power that boosted top speed to 120mph. A five-speed gearbox was standard equipment, and the brakes were large-diameter drums, the front a Fontana double-sided twin-leading-shoe magnesium unit.

This V7 Sport was purchased on 15th October 1990 and has belonged to the vendor for the last 35 years. Last used 2013, the Guzzi is described by the vendor, Robert Lusk's co-father-in-law, as a beautiful bike that has given him lots of lovely memories. He bought the machine from Danny Pope - one of London's top printers and a real motorcycle enthusiast – who had owned it since 1986. Previously used overseas, the Guzzi was first registered in the UK in 1986 and the HPi records the number of former keepers as two since registered. Kept in Robert's collection for the last 12 years, the machine is offered for recommissioning or possibly more extensive restoration and thus is sold strictly as viewed. The current odometer reading is 55,459 kilometres. Offered with a V5C and four keys.
