The panache enjoyed by Alfa Romeo today was built in the 1950s and 60s by cars like the 101-series Giulietta – usable, practical family saloons that were far more advanced and more fun than what was required by most owners. Debuting at the 1954 Turin Motor Show a year after the coupé Giulietta Sprint, the Giulietta Berlina saloon wrapped family-man practicality into an advanced monocoque shell and blessed it with a high-tech double-overhead camshaft 1290cc four. With sporting drivers in mind, the Giulietta Ti gained a higher compression engine with a twin-choke carburettor for an extra 24bhp, a tachometer, and oil and water temperature gauges. It would be the base for the chic Spider and the exotic Zagato racers, bringing the trademark Italian sporting spice to the masses.

This 1960 build Giulietta Ti wears its original shade of light blue, with the majority of the interior re-trimmed in original specification leatherette and cloth. It is thought to have been repainted in 2009, and the history file includes invoices and technical inspection documents (the most recent is from 2018), an old French registration document, and a Swiss registration document from the early 1990s. The car is reported to be in good mechanical order but will require a service or a clutch pump replacement before future use.
