• One of only 25
• Collaboration between Studio Piet Boon and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur
• Comes with a bronze helmet sculpture in tribute to the Dutch State Police
• One owner since new
• Only 8,700 kilometres
The white and orange Porsche 911 Targas with the side-mounted blue flashing light of the Dutch Rijkspolitie are some of the most well-known Porsches in existence. The Targa 4S Exclusive Alex Edition is a Netherlands-only collaboration between the Dutch design house Studio Piet Boon and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, paying homage to the Dutch police's fleet of Porsche Targas. These cars were nicknamed 'Alex' because they were stationed at the Alexander barracks in The Hague, and the satin black striping on the Exclusive Alex Edition is a contemporary interpretation of the original Rijkspolitie livery. The base colour, Piet Boon Grey (now called PTS Alex Grey), is a warm-toned non-metallic grey developed specially for this car, which also features subtle touches of orange on the key fob and air vent grills, and a special Alex Edition logo adorning the dashboard and centre arm rest. Based on the Type 991.2 Targa 4S, just 25 examples were built.
This car has had only one owner since new and shows 8,700 kilometres on its odometer. The mechanical specification remains in keeping with the regular 991.2 Targa 4S, with a six-cylinder boxer engine producing 450 bhp, a seven-speed PDK gearbox, and four-wheel drive. This example also comes with a Dutch registration document and a bronze helmet sculpture paying tribute to the helmets worn by the Dutch state police officers who drove the original 'Alex' cars. All service history is known and was carried out by an official Porsche dealer.
