The Vantage's twin sister, the V8 Vantage Roadster is without a doubt the best car to experience Aston Martin's 4.7 litre V8. Launched a year and a half after the Coupe, the Roadster uses the same V/H aluminium platform, allowing it to stay rigid despite losing its roof. Appreciated by period journalists for not losing its good handling characteristics, the Roadster only weighed 80 kg more than the Coupe. One of Aston Martin's best selling cars, the V8 Vantage Roadster was given the same improvements over the course of its lifetime, upgrading the engine size from 4.3 to
