• Fully restored between 2020 and 2021
• Steve Warrior 436bhp engine (dyno sheet available)
• Goodwood Members' competitor 2024
• FIA/HTP papers valid until 31st December 2033

Built to be a reliable front runner in Historic racing, this Mustang competition car is powered by a Steve Warrior 289ci (4.7-litre) V8 producing 436bhp, just the ticket for Goodwood Masters and similar events. The Mustang was first converted for racing in 2007 and was purchased in 2018. Finished in Wimbledon White, the car is described as very well sorted and well engineered. Its rust-free bodyshell was stripped back to bare metal in 2020, the aim being to build a strong 'shell incorporating the latest permissible welded modifications and the strongest possible Custom Cages roll-cage. Steve Warrior's latest 440bhp-specification unit, the engine has run for only two races (nine hours left before refresh), helping the Mustang qualify 4th fourth on the grid in the Masters Pre-66 Touring Cars race at Brands Hatch on 28th May 2023. This also car competed in the Mustang race at the 2024 Goodwood Members' Meeting driven by Luke Davenport and Matt Neal.

The suspension is to the latest FIA/HTP-compliant specification, while the race gearbox is a Butler straight-cut unit with synchromesh on 1st and 2nd gears built to Goodwood specifications. The car comes with spare differentials with alternative gearing for Goodwood, Brands Hatch Indy Circuit, and Silverstone Grand Prix. It is fitted with the lightest, new-specification windows and comes with a consumables spares package. Offered with FIA/HTP papers valid until 31st December 2033, this well sorted Mustang is ready to race and would surely be a competitive drive in the right hands.
