• Delivered new to the USA
• Restored over the course of some 30 years
• Rebuild completed by Roger Bray Restorations
• Matching numbers Super 90 example

Delivered new to the USA in October 1962, this left-hand drive Porsche 356B Cabriolet has the 90bhp Super 90 engine, the most powerful apart from the 130hp four-cam Carrera 2 unit. The T6 model entered production at the end of 1961 with the new-shape nose and squared off bonnet, plus a flat fuel tank in the luggage bay and fuel filler flap on the right-side front wing, making it easier to fill up. There was also a larger twin-grille engine lid. Apart from these subtle changes the most obvious was larger front and rear screens on the coupés. The T6 also has the luxury of variable-speed wipers and a gear lever lock.
The previous owner purchased the Porsche in 1990 and spent 30 years restoring it with the aid of various specialists. There are numerous documents, photographs, correspondence and history available, including a letter of conformity within the file. The owner's aim was to finish the project during his retirement but realised it was going to be too much for him. Worldwide respected marque specialists Roger Bray Restorations duly completed the rebuild, including repainting the car in original 6202 Ruby Red.
A matching-numbers example, the car comes complete with radio, jack, tool kit, full tonneau, ski rack, and a full set of original keys to the ignition, glove box, gear leaver lock, door handles and front hood lock – all very rare. This beautiful T6 Cabriolet is reported to drive very well indeed, and one would expect having just been through Roger Bray's workshop. The more time you spend in a 356, the more you fall under its spell. The steering is light, and accurate, and mated to the desirable Super 90 engine it will happily cruise on a motorway, and is rewarding on a twisted B road. Finished in its original colour combination , this wonderful cabriolet is worthy of closer inspection.
