This Ford Capri race-car was built in 2020 (with new papers) by Alan Henderson Racing (AHR) using a rust-free '3.0' chassis from Italy. The car has been painted showroom condition both inside and out, with no body damage or accidents in its history. It is presented in an exact copy of the iconic Eichberg Ford livery of Klaus Ludvig's Spa 24-hour-winning car in excellent condition.

The car was acid-dipped and built to full FIA specification including newest FIA welded-in roll cage. Appropriate chassis strengthening was undertaken in line with regulations, and the front chassis legs upgraded to achieve correct race geometry. The custom side-exit exhaust can be quick-fitted with additional muffler to meet noise regulations. The gearbox is a period-correct straight-cut unit with four hours since refreshment.

The engine is a new Rik Wood unit with fewer than four hours usage. Intake and camshaft modifications have been made to achieve a unique and fast setup. Safety equipment includes a full FIA carbon seat, six-point Sabelt harness, and electronic fire suppression, all dated until 2030. The boot-mounted stainless FIA tank is wired for two pumps in case of failure.

According to our vendor, this is simply the fastest Group 1 (or 1.5 with brake upgrade and slick tyres) Capri available. The class of the field every time it competed, the car was raced five times by the successful Jewell/Clucas partnership in 2021 and 2022 with the following results:

The Capri has remained in the vendors private collection; as he now resides in California, the car has been dry stored in a climate-controlled area at his UK storage facility. The car comes with two differentials (one longer-geared for long circuits); three sets of wheels; and various anti-roll bars, brake components, and springs.

Lightly used and in excellent condition, this iconic race car is available at a fraction of the build cost and comes with the all-important FIA papers that are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain. This class of car can be enjoyed at 'Blue Riband' events such as Goodwood, Peter Auto and Silverstone Classic.
