THE CAR OFFERED

Witnessing the success of the Mustang and revived Camaro in the early 2000s, Chrysler (then Daimler-Chrysler) was eager to toss their hat back into the muscle car ring, and in 2008, they announced the return of the long-dormant Challenger name. Thankfully, unlike the badge-engineered second-generation Challenger form 1978-1983, the new car was a legit rear-drive, V8 powered, red-white-and-blue American muscle car (albeit with a few German bits beneath the skin). Above and beyond the standard car, Chrysler's in-house performance wing SRT took a stab at the car, adding a 6.1-liter, 425bhp 'Hemi' V8 along with more aggressive suspension tuning and other special equipment.

This 2008 Challenger SRT8 is one of the 7,119 built in the model's first year. It was acquired new by the Golden State Muscle Car Collection and has remained in their care ever since. Finished in Hemi Orange with black carbon-effect stripes, it shows 67,125 miles shown at the time of cataloguing, and is in excellent condition, having been stored indoors and covered when not in use.

The revived Challenger went on to become one of the most popular modern-era muscle cars, and this SRT8 is a great example from the new era, prime for regular enjoyment.

Buyers Premium and Charges
The final bid (hammer) price of each lot will be subject to a buyer's premium.
For MOTORCAR property the premium is 12% on the first $250,000 of the bid price and 10% on any amount of the bid price exceeding $250,000.
For MOTORCYCLE property the premium is 15% on the first $100,000 of the bid price and 10% on any amount of the bid price exceeding $100,000.
For AUTOMOBILIA or non motor vehicle property, the premium is 28% of the first $50,000 of the bid price, plus 27% of the amount of the bid price above $50,000 up to and including $1,000,000, plus 21% of the amount of the bid price above $1,000,000 up to and including $6,000,000, plus 14.5% of the amount of the bid price above $6,000,000.
A 3rd-party bidding platform fee equal to 4% of the Hammer Price shall be payable by buyers whose successful bid is submitted via 3rd-party bidding platforms, including Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.

Uncollected Automobilia lots will be uplifted and stored by World Air & Ocean Services, Inc. removal and storage shall be at the buyer's sole risk and expense.
Automobilia removal, storage and shipping charges will be charged by World Air & Ocean Services, Inc according to its standard rates and ultimate destination of the lot(s). For applicable charges, please consult with World Air & Ocean Services, Inc in advance of purchase. Purchased lots become the buyer's risk once the hammer falls. Storage, collection, and uplift for paid and unpaid lot removal is at the buyer's sole risk and expense. Overseas buyers are strongly advised to make collection arrangements with Bonhams in advance of the auction.
