THE FERRARI TESTAROSSA
Ferrari's flagship model, the Testarossa supercar, revived a famous name from the Italian company's past when it arrived in 1984. A 'next generation' Berlinetta Boxer, the Testarossa retained its predecessor's amidships-mounted, 5.0-liter, flat-12 engine, which now boasted a maximum power output of 380bhp at 6,300rpm, courtesy of four-valve cylinder heads. The new supercar was now capable of reaching a top speed of 180mph.
The gill slats fed air to its side-mounted radiators, a setup that became one of the modern era's most instantly recognizable - and copied - styling devices. The new design managed to combine high downforce with a low coefficient of drag with the absence of extraneous spoilers and other such devices.
THE MOTORCAR OFFERED
This sinister Nero Metallic on Rosso Testarossa left the factory shortly before the introduction of the 512TR model. According to its VIN, it was slated for the Swedish or Swiss market but at this time, this is little known about the early history of this TR. It appears to have been driven and enjoyed, with 52,139km showing on the odometer—but it is unknown if this is from new. Acquired by the present owner in 2014, the car has been on static display since joining the collection and will require recommissioning prior to active use.
This Testarossa comes the original jack and jack bag and a few tools. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a final year Ferrari Testarossa finished in a rare and stunning all color configuration.
