The new for 2014 Breakout Softail was Harley's stab at a factory-built custom bike. Low and mean, the Breakout drew inspiration from the Gasser drag bikes of the '50s and '60s with its multi-spoke alloy wheels, dropped seating position, and simple handlebar mounted gauge binacle. Powered by an air-cooled 103ci twin cam V-twin it had plenty of beans to get up and go with the throttle spitting the noise through dual exhaust pipes. A long, low raked out front end and fat tires covered with chopped fenders helped complete the package.
This sporty Harley was completed in September of 2013 as a 2014 machine. Starting with the low drag bar fork topper, this Breakout features a custom candy apple red paint scheme with black flames. Purchased new by the vendor, it shows well cosmetically and has been minimally used with the majority of its life spent in static display. Mechanical recommissioning is recommended prior to active use.
