* Purchased new by the late owner
* The fastest production motorcycle when launched
* Requiring recommissioning

Developed to challenge the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11 as the world's fastest production motorcycle, Honda's Super Blackbird was capable of speeds in excess of 178mph. Introduced in 1996, the Blackbird's name paid homage to the Lockheed SR-71 aircraft, another speed record holder. 1999 saw the introduction of the new PGM F1 fuel injection system together with the Ram-air system, utilising aerodynamic pressure. Purchased new by the late owner June 2000 from Wylie & Holland Motor Cycles (Market Drayton), the machine was used regularly until 2010. Last started February 2018 by the late owner's mechanic (with the assistance of a slave battery) the machine has been standing unused since. Accordingly, the machine will require recommissioning or restoration to a greater or lesser extent, and is therefore sold strictly as viewed, requiring a replacement battery. Offered with V5C, old V5, original purchase receipt, a handwritten service record and a selection of expired MoT's.
