Possibly the ultimate practical classic, the first-generation Range Rover makes great sense today either as a useful addition to any collection, or as a daily driver. Later examples saw a major lift in cabin refinement as the plastic seats and rubber mats gave way to swathes of carpet, cloth and leather. This later model boast very good bodywork and paint, and good external trim and wheels and tyres. Its interior is generally good, including headlining and dashboard. With an engine that starts and runs well and good-order running gear, this later first-generation Range Rover is ready for its next owner, who might just feel inclined to bring it up to the next level.
