Offered solely in left-hand drive form the 560SL was the ultimate boulevardier R107. While the smaller-engined models had a more sporting feel, the 560 was a relaxed long-distance continent-crosser whose occupants could alight after many hundreds of miles and be ready for a relaxing dinner. Imported from the USA, this example unsurprisingly belies its 122,000 miles, the Signal Red paint and bodywork being in good fettle. Interested parties should note the 'flat-face' alloy wheels are in good order. R107 interiors come from possibly the best era for Mercedes-Benz's stringent quality standards, the tan seats, door panels, dashboard and carpet remaining in fine order. A factory hardtop is supplied with the car, making it a first-rate, almost depreciation- and bomb-proof daily driver modern classic.
