Offering refinement, reliability and, today, first-class value for money, the Lexus LS400 – the model that launched the Lexus marque – represents usable luxury at an affordable price. This left-hand drive example was sold new in the USA and bought by our vendor's mother when it was three years old. The bodywork, trim, wheels and tyres are very good and the paint described as excellent. Inside the seats, headlining and dashboard are said to be excellent. Typically for a large Lexus, the engine is said to be excellent when it comes to starting and running while the engine bay is very tidy. The running gear is excellent and some rear suspension components have been replaced recently. Coming with some history this LS400 makes a highly viable W126/W140 S-class alternative and is keenly estimated.
