Replacing the XJS was going to be a tough call and it echoed what had happened two decades earlier when that model replaced the E-type. The XK8 was a thoroughly accomplished offering, combining good build quality with reliability and looks that remained unmistakably Jaguar. This 2006 fixed-head presents well generally although the cosmetics could be improved for a better appearance. Overall the interior is presentable but again leaves scope for some cosmetic improvement. Starting, running and driving well this '8' looks great value.
