The early noughties SL buyer who thought a 500 simply didn't offer enough power had a blistering alternative, the SL55. Developed by the AMG performance arm it retained the donor car's inherent characteristics and upped the power considerably, making the '55' more junior supercar than accomplished grand tourer. MPH is delighted to offer this 2003 example which is mechanically excellent in starting and running – those who care about presentation will delight in the engine bay's very smart appearance. Transmission, suspension and brakes are equally good. Coming to market with good paint, bodywork and trim, as well as a good interior, this example reassuringly has service history.
