• Built by Razorfly Studios
• Finished in expertly executed "fake patina"
• Equipped with the 350ci V8 engine and automatic transmission
• Accompanied by its US title
Purchased around 2017 by Razorfly Studios—a renowned workshop celebrated in the United States for producing some of the finest movie-car replicas—this 1977 Chevrolet Camaro was selected as the basis for an accurate "Bumblebee" recreation. Starting with a restored example, the most challenging aspect was to reproduce the worn, aged appearance seen when Sam Witwicky first encounters Bumblebee in the 2007 Transformers film. Through skilful use of paint, the team created a remarkably convincing patina, capturing the character and charm of the on-screen car.
Matching the interior of the hero car was equally important. Bespoke vinyl materials were used, while memorable details—such as the mirrored facet-ball hanging from the rear-view mirror and the Autobots emblem on the steering wheel—were painstakingly reproduced to complete the transformation.
Sold with its US title and accompanied by its 846A customs document, this Camaro offers a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest 'Bumblebee' replicas in Europe. Following mechanical recommissioning, it would make a wonderfully entertaining and highly characterful cruiser.
