This 1989 Chevrolet Corvette C4, finished in white with a red interior and equipped with an automatic transmission, was imported into Switzerland early in its life, in 1994. At that time—according to the accompanying Swiss emissions carnet—the car had covered just 22,476 kilometres.
Owned for more than two decades by Mr Roland Kobel, near Zürich, the Corvette was regularly driven and carefully maintained, as evidenced by numerous invoices dating back to 1994. Mr Kobel retained the car until 2016, when it entered the Movie Cars Central collection. At the time of acquisition, the odometer displayed approximately 146,000 kilometres.
Now showing 92,693 miles (149,175 kilometres), the car presents in generally good condition. While some gravel rash is evident to the front, it benefits from newly retrimmed upholstery in its original colour scheme.
Offered with a substantial history file, including maintenance records, previous registration documents, the Swiss emissions carnet and its Swiss title, this represents an appealing and accessible American sports car with a well-documented past. A light recommissioning is advised prior to road use. For fans of The A-Team, the addition of a simple red graphic around the car would transform it into an excellent replica of Faceman's iconic Corvette.
