An Isle of Man TT Silver Replica Trophy, 1935 Senior T.T. Team Award
Footnotes
This T.T. Team Award trophy relates to the 1935 Isle of Man Senior TT, one of the most celebrated races in Tourist Trophy history. Awarded to the Norton works team of Jimmie Guthrie, Walter F. Rusk and J.G. Duncan, the trophy commemorates Norton's success in securing the Team Prize after the trio finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively in the Senior TT. The race itself became legendary for the dramatic duel between Guthrie and Stanley Woods aboard the Moto Guzzi, Woods ultimately prevailing by just four seconds after more than 260 miles of racing around the Mountain Course. Today, the 1935 Senior TT is widely regarded as one of the defining contests of the pre-war era.
