"While the Gallardo and Murciélago can be credited for revitalising Lamborghini for the 21st century, the Huracán felt like another big step into modernity when it arrived in 2014. On paper it ticked every box as a junior supercar to rival the likes of Ferrari's 458 and the McLaren 650S: over 600bhp from Lambo's signature V10, four-wheel drive, a dual-clutch gearbox (finally) and a totally fresh design and interior." - evo magazine.

The Huracán (Spanish for Hurricane) made its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, with deliveries commencing later that year. Its chassis was an entirely new design in - mostly - aluminium, featuring a central tunnel and rear bulkhead in carbon fibre for increased stiffness. Powering the newcomer was a development of the 5.2-litre V10 shared with the outgoing Gallardo, which delivered its 610PS to the road via a seven-speed, dual clutch, electronically controlled, four-wheel drive transmission system. The compact coupé bodywork was typically Lamborghini, boasting its manufacturer's customary combination of smooth curves and sharp edges. This low-drag shape enabled the Huracán to breach the all-important 320 km/h benchmark, albeit by only 4 kilometres per hour, with the 0-97km/h (0-60mph) dash accomplished in a mere 2.5 seconds. Retardation was handled by carbon discs all round.

The interior was notable as the first use by Lamborghini of parent-company Audi's 12.3" TFT 'virtual cockpit' and featured the customary heated/adjustable seating and leather/Alcantara upholstery. Other notable features include full LED headlamps, power steering, and an ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management) driving modes selector controlling the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, etc. The Huracán also met the demanding EU6 emissions targets.

Introduced in 2015 as the convertible counterpart to the celebrated Huracán coupé, the Spyder retained the formidable capabilities of its fixed-roof sibling while offering the additional sensory pleasure of open-top driving. The electrically operated fabric roof can be raised or lowered in approximately 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h, allowing the driver better to enjoy the unmistakable soundtrack of that glorious V10 engine. The drive train remained the same as that of the coupé. Capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in approximately 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 324km/h (201mph), the Huracán Spyder offers performance worthy of the marque's illustrious heritage.

The example offered here is a particularly appealing Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder, purchased new by its current Belgian collector owner and retained in his collection ever since. Having covered a mere 20,000 kilometers from new, the car has seen only limited use and is presented in exceptional condition.

Its single-owner provenance, remarkably low usage and outstanding state of preservation distinguish this example from more extensively used contemporaries. This car offers an opportunity to acquire a carefully preserved example of Lamborghini's celebrated naturally aspirated Huracán Spyder, combining modern supercar performance and the increasingly rare character of a high-revving, non-turbocharged engine; while affording both exhilarating performance and the joys of open-top motoring.
