Introduced in 1985, the Ferrari 328 GTB was similar to the preceding 308 GTB apart from its 3.2-litre engine. Representing the second generation of Ferrari's V8-engined road cars, the entirely new 308 GTB had debuted at the Paris Salon in 1975. This particular model line had begun in 1973 with the Bertone-styled and Dino-badged 308 GT4 2+2 four-seater, and the latter's amidships-mounted, double-overhead-camshaft 3.0-litre V8 was used in dry-sump form for the 308 GTB.

Built on a shorter wheelbase, the 308 GTB marked a welcome return to Pininfarina styling and was manufactured by Scaglietti. Further developments included the introduction in 1977 of an open GTS version with Targa-style removable roof; the adoption of Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection (1980); and, finally, cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder (1982).

In 1985, the 308 was superseded by the mechanically similar but larger engined 328 GTB. By increasing both bore and stroke, the quattrovalvole engine's capacity was raised to 3,186cc which, together with other improvements, lifted maximum power to 270bhp. Top speed was raised to 263km/h with the sprint to 100km/h covered in a fraction over 6.4 seconds. Externally, the elegant simplicity of Pininfarina's original 308 had been diluted somewhat by the addition of Testarossa-style moulded bumpers, deeper rear valance, and an unobtrusive roof spoiler.

Built in June 1987, this example was delivered to and first registered in October 1988 by Fernando Serena SA (the official Ferrari importer in Barcelona, Spain). The car's original colour is Argento Metallic (Ferrari colour 101/C and matching according to vehicle production data) whilst the interior is trimmed in Azzuro 3015 Autolux with blue carpets (again matching according to vehicle production data). Since delivery the Ferrari has had seven owners, all of whom are known (see list and history details on file). Between 1987 and 2016 the 328 GTB was regularly serviced by Serena in Barcelona, Talleres Mondial in Barcelona, and Talleres Astur in Alicante, etc. In June 2016 the Ferrari moved to a new owner in Belgium, remaining there until 2023 when it passed to a new custodian in France.

Registered in France in December 2023, the Ferrari has been serviced annually in France at Madou Seclin, THM Classic, etc. The last major service was carried out in 2023, when the engine's timing belt kit was replaced. Since then, THM Classic replaced all eight fuel injectors in March 2024, and the car was last serviced by them in May 2026. Since then, she has travelled only about a hundred kilometres.

In addition to the aforementioned ownership history, the Ferrari comes with an invoices file (Spain and France); French registration certificate; old Spanish and Belgian titles; technical inspections file (France, Belgium, Spain); a valid French roadworthiness test; original user's manual; original warranty booklet; a Ferrari vehicle production data sheet confirming matching specification; original tools, jack and spare wheel.
