• Present ownership in Sweden since 2011
• Extensive professional restoration

Few post-war British sports cars can match the elegance and sporting credentials of the Jaguar XK120. The world's fastest production car when introduced in 1948, the XK120 established Jaguar as a dominant force on both road and track, combining breathtaking performance with timeless styling by Sir William Lyons. Today, it remains one of the most sought-after British classics, admired for its elegant coachwork, legendary XK six-cylinder engine, and outstanding driving characteristics.
The example offered here is the result of an extraordinary restoration project, carried out with virtually no regard for cost. Purchased in Sweden in December 2011 for 450,000 Swedish Krone (approximately €40,300) from the founder of Ink Club, the XK subsequently underwent an exceptional frame-off restoration between 2012 and 2018, undertaken by the renowned Swedish Jaguar specialists, Competition Motors AB.
Accompanying documentation confirms that approximately 8,000 hours were invested in the project, together with invoices totalling SEK 3,726,428, (approximately €330,000) making this one of the most comprehensively restored XK120s available today.
The restoration included:
• Comprehensive body-off, chassis-up restoration
• Fully rebuilt XK engine with new pistons, rings, bearings, valves and timing components
• Rebuilt gearbox and rear axle
• Comprehensive overhaul of suspension, steering and braking systems
• New brake master cylinder, brake lines and hydraulic components
• Restored chassis and underbody
• Extensive zinc-plating and refinishing of original components
• New bushings throughout
• Rebuilt cooling system and water pump
• Numerous new factory-correct mechanical components
• Detailed cosmetic restoration throughout
The extensive invoice file evidences the exceptional attention to detail paid during the rebuild, with every aspect of the car carefully addressed. Following the restoration's completion, the Jaguar has, reportedly, been stored in a heated garage and used sparingly, covering fewer than 100 kilometres annually, exclusively during fine summer weather in southern Sweden. According to the owner's handwritten statement, the car has never been exposed to poor weather since completion.
The owner further notes that the restoration incorporated discreet upgrades including to the braking system, gearbox and wheels, while carefully preserving the car's original appearance and character. Importantly, the removed original components accompany the car, allowing a future custodian the option of returning it to fully factory specification if desired.
Finished in elegant Old English White with a beautifully presented red leather interior, this XK120 displays outstanding craftsmanship throughout. The paintwork presents beautifully and panel fit is excellent, while the engine compartment, underbody and cockpit reflect the exceptional standard achieved during restoration. Chrome wire wheels, polished brightwork and classic sweeping lines complete what is arguably one of Britain's most beautiful sports cars.
Accompanied by its extensive restoration records, detailed invoices, ownership notes and supporting documentation, this XK120 represents a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally restored example where the cost of restoration vastly exceeds its current market value. It is ideally suited to concours events, prestigious touring rallies or inclusion in a significant collection of important post-war sports cars.
Accompanying documentation includes:
• Extensive restoration invoices from Competition Motors AB
• Detailed restoration cost summary
• Handwritten ownership history

• Supporting restoration documentation

Most unusually, the car still has its original tool kit in original condition. A truly exceptional Jaguar XK120, restored to an uncompromising standard and offered with one of the most comprehensive restoration files we have ever encountered.
