1998 Ducati 944cc ST2
Registration no. R41 DFC
Frame no. ZDMS100AAWB004384
Engine no. ZDM944W2*004406*

"Soon after TPG acquired Ducati, it added an additional family line to broaden the appeal of Ducati. This was the Sport Touring range, later expanded to include the Multistrada. The first Sport Touring though, the ST2, was a remnant of the Cagiva era, and styled by Miguel Galluzzi." - Ian Falloon, The Standard Catalog of Ducati Motorcycles.

Ducati's first stab at a touring model to complement its modern sports bike range was the ST2 of 1997, which deployed the 900SS's air-cooled 4-valve motor in the Bologna firm's trademark trellis frame. The ST2 was Ducati's first Sport Touring model and came equipped with a centre stand as standard and factory fitted hard luggage as an option.

This Ducati ST2 was purchased new in Belgium by the private vendor and has been dry stored since last ridden 10 years ago. Recommissioning will be required before further use. Currently SORN'd, the machine comes with its original factory tool kit and instruction manuals, etc. Other notable features include a datatool alarm/immobiliser; a Scott oiler; and a datatool garage security system (not installed but supplied). The current odometer reading is 57,383 kilometres and it should be noted that there is a '+4K' sticker on the lens, suggesting a change of speedometer at some point. Accompanying paperwork includes sundry invoices and old/current V5C Registration Certificates.
