Enzo Ferrari's personal pair of sunglasses, Italian, 1970s,
According to information supplied by the vendor these glasses were originally gifted to Clay Regazzoni by Enzo Ferrari. In 1974 Regazzoni and Ferrari were driving together, on a hot, sunny day, with Regazzoni at the wheel, the sun was bothering him and Enzo Ferrari offered him the glasses saying to him, 'You need to drive in safety, take my glasses'.
Between 2005 and 2010 the vendors brother worked at Kessel Racing in Lugano, were he acted for some of the time as a driver to the then wheelchair bound Regazzoni. These glasses were gifted by Regazzoni to the driver in 2006 as thanks for all his help. Then inherited by descent by his brother, the current vendor.
