Ordered in the iconic Guards Red with black/red leather interior, this Porsche 911SC was originally supplied by Charles Follet Limited of Berkley Street, London and registered as 'A461 JGU', a London mark. It left the factory equipped with a heated passenger door mirror; tinted glass; rear wiper; front and rear rubber spoilers; sport shock absorbers; and Fuchs forged alloy wheels. This car is a 1983 D-Series example dating from the last production year of the SC's 204bhp 3.0-litre engine (an unblown version the 930 Turbo unit), which in this case is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. On file is a letter from Porsche authenticity specialist Roger Green confirming the car's provenance, together with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity,

In June 1983, at 6,700 miles, the 911 found its second owner, a Mr Davis of Deptford. The Porsche was next sold to a Dartford-based owner, a Mr Palmer, in May 1985 at circa 11,500 miles. In May 1991, at circa 32,000 miles, the SC was sold to its last owner, a Mr Murray of Sevenoaks, who enjoyed the car for the next 35 years, covering some 27,800 miles in his ownership,

The car comes complete with extensive Porsche dealer/specialist service history with 34 recorded services at Charles Follett and Automech Porsche. The car also comes complete with comprehensive documentation including the original Porsche book pack (driver's manual; Charles Follett leaflet; service booklet; Pocket Guide To Porsche Ownership; radio operating instructions; Porsche Possessions brochure and price list; and Porsche warranty letter). Also on file are previous MoTs dating back to 1986; old tax discs dating back to 1984; various service/parts invoices; various Porsche Club GB Concours reports; and sundry Porsche 911 SC Register information,

The last 911SCs (model years 1981 to 1983) are one of the sweetest of all the classic air-cooled 911s. This UK-delivered 1983 911SC Targa with only 59,800 miles recorded from new represents timeless style, engaging performance, and outstanding collectability.
