Scuderia Ferrari F1 – 1950 to 2019 - Over one hundred driver autographs – Collection of 136 models at 1/43 scale
Each model originally derives from a high-quality kit, predominantly in white metal (such as BBR, Tameo, and others), and has been assembled by professional model makers.
Almost all models are accompanied by the autograph of the driver represented.
This collection traces the evolution of Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 cars from 1950 to 2019.
Each car is presented with a plaque indicating the Grand Prix, model type, race number, and the signature of the model maker.
Beside each car stands its driver in full racing attire, with a separate plaque at his feet bearing his autograph.
The collection includes signatures from many legendary drivers, among them:
Fangio, Hawthorn, Hill, Ickx, Amon, Andretti, Lauda, Villeneuve, Prost, Barrichello, Massa, Alonso, Räikkönen, Schumacher, Irvine, Brooks, Mairesse, Vettel, Berger, Pironi, Regazzoni, and many others.
Also featured are autographs of drivers tragically killed during races:
Ascari (1955), Castellotti (1957), Collins (1958), Hawthorn (1959), von Trips (1961).
The ensemble represents an average of two models per year.
This lifetime collection was made possible only through privileged personal contact with the drivers and their representatives.
The majority of the autographs are executed in black felt-tip pen, applied to metal plaques protected by a transparent film.
The years 1969 and 1983 are not represented, as the kits available at the time were deemed insufficient in quality by the collector.
The collection is housed in two red display cabinets, supplied with the lot
(dimensions: 80 × 50 × 200 cm each).
