This impressive example of Bentley's famed 'Silent Sports Car' was delivered in January 1935 and bodied by Park Ward as a four-door, four-light sports saloon. Its first owner was a Miss Maud Branston and the car was registered in the UK as 'BLH 188'. The Bentley's subsequent history is unknown prior to 1999 when it was imported into Sweden from the UK. The vendor's family purchased the car in 2006 and since then they have used it frequently for rallies and events. The Bentley is registered in Sweden and comes with Swedish registration documents, a folder of invoices, copies of the first UK title, and other historic documents.

In the mid-1990s the car was restored by renowned Bentley specialists Healey Brothers (UK). This very high quality restoration included bare-metal body repairs and a repaint; at the same time the car was fitted with twin spare wheels (normally one). New chrome trim was fitted all around; all the electrics renewed; and all carpets replaced (the original leather upholstery is still intact, only recoloured).

During 2018-2019, the engine was overhauled by renowned Bentley specialist Bernt Hansen in Sweden (invoice on file). Today this charming 'Derby Bentley' is presented in good condition both mechanically and cosmetically; it was driven frequently throughout last summer and displayed at the 2025 Gothenburg Classic Car Weekend.
