1984 Toyota BJ42 Land Cruiser 4x4
Chassis no. JTV0BJ4200916191

• Offered from an important private collection of Toyota cars
• Expertly restored in Belgium in 2017
• 3,400cc 88.5bhp diesel engine
• Numerous factory-fitted options

First registered on 14th May 1984, this BJ42 came from an important Toyota collection of 87 cars, mostly bought from their first owner with relatively few kilometres recorded. In 2017 this car was extensively restored by a leading Belgium Toyota specialist using numerous new-old-stock original Toyota parts. This was a total body-off restoration down to the last nut and bolt (all in the original Toyota finish) with the utmost attention paid to detail such as the spot-welding dots behind the wings.

This model, unlike the earlier BJ40s, has all the available options already installed by the factory: front disc brakes; power steering; original Toyota fifth gear; digital clock; six-digit odometer display; larger 3,400cc engine instead of 3,000cc etc, etc. This car is from one of the last batches produced and comes with the original matrix-printed tag behind the windscreen. These cars were shipped to Europe on deck, while the Corollas and other models were carried in the ship's hold.

This could be a daily driver (in the summer). Two brand new batteries were installed two months ago and four brand new diesel injectors installed. The car reportedly runs very well. It comes complete with its original Toyota tool kit in its linen pouch and an original Toyota car jack with hand crank.

Chassis no. JTV0BJ4200916191
