1957 Stevens Manu. Argyle Cub S92

1957 Stevens Manu. Argyle Cub S92
Frame no. J1159

Frankly, the Argyle folding scooter is the first and last word in compact transport. With a 30 inch wheelbase the Argyle is minute. Its party trick is its hinge to fold the frame at its mid-point. Later models feature a cast aluminum frame, these scooters are a masterclass in mid-century design. Many companies would produce the Argyle, such as the Phillips Conveyor Company, Phillips Aluminum Manufacturing Company, C & E Manufacturing Co. of Memphis, Missouri in the 1950's, and the R. Stevens & Co. New York, New York. Featuring either two-stroke Power Products engines or Clinton engines. These compact forms of transport really allow for perspective on humanities ability to propel itself.

The Argyle offered here was built by the R. Stevens & Co. in New York. With a white cushion, and polished chassis and componentry. This Argyle is pure jewelry. Ready for recommissioning this scooter truly punches above its weight in captivating design.
