Frankly, the Argyle folding scooter is the first and last word in compact transport. With a 30 inch wheelbase the Argyle is minute. Its party trick is its hinge to fold the frame at its mid-point. Later models feature a cast aluminum frame, these scooters are a masterclass in mid-century design. Many companies would produce the Argyle, such as the Phillips Conveyor Company, Phillips Aluminum Manufacturing Company, C & E Manufacturing Co. of Memphis, Missouri in the 1950's, and the R. Stevens & Co. New York, New York. Featuring either two-stroke Power Products engines or Clinton engines. These compact forms of transport really allow for perspective on humanities ability to propel itself.

This Argyle was built in Golgchester, Illinois. Currently painted black with a stunning blue metallic bleeding through. This Argyle presents as a really exciting project for any scooter enthusiast. In need of restoration and recommissioning, this Argyle is a fascinating mode of transport.
