In September of 1968, Honda started selling its first Mini Trail built for American customers. Production ran until March of 1969 and a total of 20,087 Mini Trails were produced in the first model year. The primitive little mini bike came without a headlight or taillight; it had an on/off toggle switch, and was intended for off-road use only. As they were used for off-road fun, it should be no surpsrise that not many of these have survived. All examples came with ivory white hand grips and front and rear ivory white plastic hand brake levers.
This concours example has benefitted from a last nut and bolt restoration and was purchased in the USA in 2021. Repainted in its original Bright yellow over ivory white. Fitted with very rare NOS grips and levers, original Bridgestone Trail Wing tires. The original engine has been completely rebuilt we have been advised. A must-have for the Honda Monkey bike collectors worldwide.
Offered as an offroad vehicle, without any registration document.
