Honda's first 50cc sports bikes used versions of the horizontally inclined engine of the Cub step-thru moped, and only in the 1970s did the sporting Fifties adopt the near-vertical motor of the larger singles. The first of this type – the CB50 –appeared in 1971, boasting a maximum output of 6bhp at 10,500rpm from its 49.3cc overhead-camshaft engine.

This charming, jewel-like, ultra-lightweight Honda comes with its original instruction book, service booklet, and various German documents. The engine turns over.
