The Mercedes-Benz 600SE is a flagship model from the W140 series, a car that redefined luxury and performance when it was launched. Powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine, the 600SE delivers an impressive 402 horsepower, making it capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. This smooth power is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the 600SE boasts a meticulously crafted cabin, with high-quality leather upholstery, wood trim, and advanced features for its time, such as electric seats, climate control, and a premium sound system. The car's design is both sleek and imposing, with sharp lines that reflect the modern elegance of the era.
Technologically, the 600SE introduced innovations like the Airmatic suspension system, ensuring a supremely comfortable ride. It also featured cutting-edge safety systems, including airbags, ABS, and traction control, setting new standards in vehicle protection.
The 600SE represents the pinnacle of Mercedes-Benz engineering in the early '90s. A true luxury sedan, it combines performance, comfort, and advanced technology, making it a sought-after classic for collectors and enthusiasts today.
This Mercedes-Benz 600SE was delivered new in Switzerland in June 1992, finished in Bornite (Blackberry) Metallic Paint with a beige leather interior. It was delivered in Swiss configuration, with a host of factory options, including: auxiliary heater, remote control for auxiliary heater, ski-bag, front folding armrest with tray, single seat with orthopaedic front seat backrest (left and right), electric roller blind for rear window, theft warning system for Switzerland, heat-insulating glass all-around, heated rear window pane, band filter, ECE, warning triangle, 8-hole light alloy rims, sound system with CD changer in the trunk, new shift/selector lever generation, seat heaters for left and right rear seats, seat heaters for left and right front seats, closing system with infrared remote control, passenger compartment protection (infrared), trunk lid additional locking mechanism (HZS).
Service invoices from Garage de la Marbrerie, an official Mercedes-Benz Swiss agent, among others, confirm regular and annual maintenance over the past 13 years. Last year, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration, which included body repainting, seat re-dyeing, wheel and chrome trim refurbishment, as well as an extensive cleaning and polishing of both the interior and exterior. The chassis and engine bay were also thoroughly cleaned. More recently, in July 2024, a starting issue was resolved. A veteran expertise was carried out on 18th July 2023, when the car had 253,216 km (the current odometer reading is 253,695 km).
The car is offered with its original Swiss carte grise (registration document), a significant number of invoices mentioned above, an anti-pollution maintenance record stamped in 2022, and spare keys, presented in a plastic Mercedes V12 box.
