Lot 89

An 'MV Agusta' Type Childs Motorcycle and Sidecar

An 'MV Agusta' Type Childs Motorcycle and Sidecar
Frame no. None visible
Engine no. *2336*

This mini-MV Replica embodies all the characteristics of a full-sized machine, featuring a 4-into-1 Magni-style exhaust, a Motori Minarelli engine (believed to be a 50cc two-stroke), 8-inch wheels, Diatech brake levers, and a Tommaselli throttle, all complemented by the added benefit of a detachable sidecar. This mini-motorcycle is a replica of the MV 500cc Grand Prix, which was ridden to victory by works riders Giacomo Agostini (with 122 Grand Prix wins and 15 World Championship titles to his name) and the late, great seven-time World Champion Phil Read. Little is known about the machine on offer, which will require careful recommissioning and potentially more extensive restoration before use. Therefore, it is sold strictly as seen. Given that original MV Agusta Racing motorcycles now command prices in the hundreds of thousands of pounds, this presents a rare opportunity to acquire an intriguing replica of an iconic machine at a fraction of the price and size.
