Lot 272

The Robert Lusk Motorcycle Collection, 1978 MV Agusta 350S

The Robert Lusk Motorcycle Collection
1978 MV Agusta 350S
Registration no. WJH 719T
Frame no. MV350BE 21601888
Engine no. 21602138

The MV Agusta 350S represented one of the last expressions of the marque's classic road-going twins. Styled with sporting flair and powered by a 349cc overhead-camshaft parallel twin, the 350S combined MV's racing heritage with accessible road performance, appealing to riders who valued both Italian design and proven engineering.

First registered in August 1978, this example shows just 4,513 miles on the odometer, which is believed to be from new. Remarkably original and unrestored, it appears to be a well-preserved survivor.

Its known provenance includes long-term ownership by the Eacott family of Newbury, Berkshire, from 1979 until Robert's purchase in 2007. Peter Eacott, well known as parts manager for the MV Agusta Owners Club of Great Britain, acquired the bike in May 1979, later passing it to his son Geoff, an enthusiast and restorer of MVs. Prior to the Eacotts, the machine had two recorded keepers from new.

Offered with an old-style V5C and a photocopy of a previous V5C, it is exceptionally original low-mileage example from MV's classic era, seldom found in such condition.

Prospective buyers should please note that whilst Robert actively started and maintained his collection, all machines are offered as requiring recommissioning to a greater or lesser extent.
