According to its accompanying copy build sheet, this Continental T was commissioned by Bentley Munich as a French-market car. It was delivered in July 2001 finished in black with 'Autumn' (soft tan') interior and equipped with the optional burr oak veneer and cellular telephone.
A previous owner, a Swiss-based entrepreneur, had the exterior colour changed to satin grey and the interior cappings from traditional wood to the alternative engine-turned aluminium, these works being carried out by a Geneva coachbuilder. In 2018 the Continental was sent to renowned UK marque specialists Phantom Motors for a comprehensive service to bring it up to 'perfect driving condition'. Dated 25th September 2018, the invoice runs to eight pages and totals £16,827 (see file). After completion the car was returned to Switzerland where the then owner decided to have it repainted in its original black by Carrosserie Binggeli. The repaint was completed in May 2020 with invoices totalling nearly CHF20,000.
In the summer of 2020 the Bentley was sent to Phantom Motors for an engine overhaul and other the works costing £19,888. The car was sold to our vendor by Kidston SA in 2024. It was serviced by Classica Motors in Geneva on 16th January 2025 and has a little under 38,000 kilometres on the odometer. As well as the aforementioned bills the car also comes with its service booklet (five stamps) and all books and tools.
