Production of Aston Martin's Vanquish ended with the Newport Pagnell factory's closure, and this Vanquish S is one of the last completed, manufactured on 31st January 2007. As well as being a very late car, it went to Aston Martin Works to have the troublesome automatic gearbox replaced with their six-speed manual transmission, making it immeasurably more desirable as a result.

The Vanquish was delivered via Aston Martin Munich on 12th February 2007, subsequently spending time in Belgium before being exported to Switzerland in 2017. Finished in Onyx Black with Obsidian Black primary and secondary leathers, black stitching and black Alcantara quilted headliner and seat inserts, it oozes understated menace and purpose.

Our vendor purchased the Vanquish in 2020 and has barely driven the car since. Nevertheless it has been carefully stored and serviced every year, the most recently in May 2025. Accompanying documentation includes its Swiss Carte Grise; old Luxembourg registration papers; Certificate of Conformity; Certificate of Origin; and the original service book (up to date).

La production des Aston Martin Vanquish prit fin avec la fermeture de l'usine de Newport Pagnell. Cette Vanquish S, sortie de ligne le 31 janvier 2007, est l'une des dernières construites. Il fut demande à Aston Martin Works de remplacer sa boîte automatique délicate par une boîte manuelle à six rapports, ce qui rendit cette Vanquish incomparablement plus séduisante.

Elle fut livrée le 12 février 2007 par Aston Martin Munich, puis passa du temps en Belgique avant d'être exportée en Suisse en 2017. De couleur noir Onyx Black avec des garnissages primaires et secondaires en cuir noir Obsidian Black, une garniture de pavillon matelassée et des inserts de sièges en Alcantara noir avec piqûres noires, elle dégage une attitude menaçante tout en conservant la distinction propre à la marque de Newport Pagnell.

Son vendeur l'a achetée en 2020 et ne l'a que très peu conduite depuis. Il l'a néanmoins soigneusement conservée et entretenue chaque année, en mai 2025 pour la dernière fois. On trouvera parmi les documents l'accompagnant sa carte grise suisse, d'anciens documents d'immatriculation luxembourgeois, un certificat de conformité, un certificat d'origine et son carnet d'entretien d'origine, à jour.

Buyers' Premium and Charges
Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge a Buyer's Premium on the Hammer Price of each Lot purchased and this is subject to VAT. Some lots may also be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price and these lots will be clearly marked with a symbol (†, Ω, *) printed beside the lot number.
For Automobilia the Buyer's Premium is 28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price; 27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,001 up to and including £800,000; 21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,001 up to and including £4,500,000 and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,001.
For Motor Cars and Vehicle Registration Numbers the Buyer's Premium will be 15% on the first £500,000 of the hammer price of each Lot, and 12% on the balance thereafter.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% + VAT of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Buyers Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
