The car offered here is a scaled-down replica of one of the greatest Grand Prix cars of all time: the Bugatti Type 35, which in its various forms would go on to become arguably the most successful racing car of all time, commencing with winning the inaugural World Championship for Manufacturers in 1926 and securing countless victories for privateers.

Its racing history and wonderful design has led to numerous replicas of the Type 35 being made, both full size and smaller. This example of the latter was hand built, by The Little Car Company, under license from Bugatti and is 75% the size of an original. It is number '214' of a maximum build of 500. This new and unused Baby Bugatti is a little jewel of technology.

Please note that if this vehicle is to be imported into Switzerland, Swiss Customs charges (Car Tax, VAT and a Customs Administration Fee) will apply totalling roughly 13% of the Purchase Price (Hammer + Buyers Premium). Swiss Car Tax at 4% shall be calculated on the total Purchase Price. Swiss VAT (8.1%) will then be applicable on the aggregated amount of the Hammer Price, Buyer's Premium and Swiss Car Tax. There will equally be a charge for the customs clearance procedure. Please note that customs rates to other countries shall vary. This vehicle will not be available for immediate collection after the sale and will only be released on completion of customs clearance. La voiture proposée ici est une réplique à échelle réduite de l'une des plus célèbres voitures de Grand Prix de tous les temps, la Bugatti Type 35. Celle-ci, sous ses différentes versions, peut être considérée comme la voiture de Grand Prix la plus couronnée de l'histoire automobile. Son premier; son premier exploit a consisté à remporter en 1926 le premier championnat du monde des constructeurs, sans compter assurer d'innombrables victoires à des pilotes privés.

Son palmarès sportif et sa sa conception exceptionnelle ont contribue a la production de nombreuses repliques, a l'echelle un ou reduite. Cet exemplaire, à l'échelle 0.75, a été construit à la main par "The Little Car Company" sous licence Bugatti. C'est le no 214 d'un maximum de 500 exemplaires construits. Cette Baby Bugatti, véritable bijou de technologie, est neuve et n'a jamais été utilisée.

Veuillez noter que si ce véhicule est importé en Suisse, les frais de douane suisses (taxe sur les véhicules, TVA et frais d'administration douanière) s'appliqueront pour un total d'environ 13 % du prix d'achat (prix au marteau + prime d'acheteur). From 28 June 2025, the import into the EU of non-EU property of a certain age (and in some categories above a certain value) is subject to additional requirements. Under the relevant EU Regulation, it is the Buyer's sole responsibility to assess whether any Lot meets the criteria for import into the EU. The refusal of any required Import Licence or Importer Statement, or any delay in obtaining such Licence or Statement shall not give rise to the rescission or cancellation of any Sale, nor allow any delay in making full payment for the Lot.
Buyers' Premium and Charges
Like the vast majority of auctioneers Bonhams charge a Buyer's Premium on the Hammer Price of each Lot purchased and this is subject to VAT. Some lots may also be subject to VAT on the Hammer Price and these lots will be clearly marked with a symbol (†, Ω, *) printed beside the lot number.
For Automobilia the Buyer's Premium is 28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price; 27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,001 up to and including £800,000; 21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,001 up to and including £4,500,000 and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,001.
For Motor Cars and Vehicle Registration Numbers the Buyer's Premium will be 15% on the first £500,000 of the hammer price of each Lot, and 12% on the balance thereafter.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% + VAT of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the standard rate is payable on the Buyers Premium by all Buyers, unless otherwise stated.
