WEST COAST CHOPPERS

West Coast Choppers, founded by Jesse James in the early 1990s, became a cultural icon in the custom motorcycle world. Known for its aggressive, handcrafted chopper designs and rebellious aesthetic, the brand quickly gained fame through celebrity clientele and TV appearances like Monster Garage and Motorcycle Mania. Jesse James, a skilled metal fabricator and charismatic figure, built the company into a lifestyle brand, selling not just bikes but clothing, accessories, and tie-in merchandise. At its peak, West Coast Choppers was more about image and attitude than mass production, with only a handful of bikes built annually—each a high-priced, custom masterpiece.

THE MOTORCYCLE OFFERED

Kiehl's, Since 1851 is certainly well known for their superior skincare products – but one thing that has often stood out is the regular presence of a motorcycle in each store. The brainchild of Aaron Morse, he began placing motorcycles in Kiehl's stores to keep the attention of husbands while their wives shopped. This aesthetic is what inspired the creation of this wild chopper, specially built for the company.

Starting with a CFL2 (Choppers for Life) frame and a massive 113ci S&S V-twin motor, the tank, fenders, and details were all custom fabricated – with pictures and video clips documenting the creation of the motorcycle from bare frame to finished machine. Showing at the 2008 Legend of the Motorcycle Concours d'Elegance in Half Moon Bay, California—where Kiehl's was of course a sponsor—the bike would eventually tour the country visiting Kiehl's stores—along with a special Dopp kit that Jesse James also help design. The bike was also written up in Vanity Fair's May 2008 issue.

Presenting in as-completed condition, it has been largely on static display since it was completed and will require recommissioning prior to active enjoyment. And should you find yourself a bit windburned from the ride...there is a place that offers a full lineup of products to get your skin in tip-top shape.
