Offered here is a special one-off machine inspired by the legendary MV Agusta four-cylinder 500cc Grand Prix racer of 1974, which was ridden to overall victory in that year's World Championship by Phil Read (it would be MV's last). This Grand Prix replica boasts a handmade frame, which is wrapped around a Japanese four-cylinder engine. Other notable features include Marzocchi suspension units; Brembo brakes; cast alloy wheels; a handmade alloy fuel tank and front mudguard; a glassfibre seat and fairing; and a custom-made four-pipe megaphone exhaust system, all fabricated by Domenico Tavoni in Modena, Italy.

As with all Lots in the Sale, this Lot is sold 'as is/where is' and Bidders must satisfy themselves as to the provenance, condition, age, completeness and originality prior to bidding.

The engine number is KZ750EE133767, indicating that the motorcycle is equipped with Kawasaki KZ750 (750cc) crankcases. The machine engages one gear only and the engine does not turn over.

La moto proposée est un exemplaire unique inspiré de la légendaire quatre-cylindres MV Agusta 500 cc des Grands Prix de 1974, qui fut menée cette année-là à la victoire au général du Championnat du monde par Phil Read (ce sera la dernière victoire de MV). Cette réplique de la moto des Grands Prix est équipée d'une cadre façonné à la main autour d'un quatre-cylindres japonais. On trouve parmi ses caractéristiques remarquables des suspensions Marzocchi, des freins Brembo, des roues en alliage, un réservoir et un garde-boue avant en alliage faits à la main, une selle et un carénage en fibre de verre ainsi qu'un échappement sonore à quatre tuyaux réalisé sur mesure, le tout fabriqué à Modène par Domenico Tavoni.

De même que tous les lots de cette vente, ce lot est vendu "en l'état et à l'endroit où il se trouve" et les enchérisseurs doivent en vérifier la provenance, l'état, l'âge, la complétude et l'authenticité avant d'enchérir.
