As readily recognisable as the immortal 'Beetle' itself, the Volkswagen Type 2 and its derivatives enjoyed an even longer period in production than their saloon progenitor. Introduced in 1950, the Type 2 would proliferate into a bewildering variety of models catering for an enormous range of commercial and domestic activities, one of the rarer variants being the crew cab pickup, which featured two rows of seats and was known as the 'Doka' (Doppelkabine). An early 'split screen' model, this example is presented in restored condition, and we are advised that it is driving and shifting excellently.

Aussi immédiatement identifiable que l'immortelle Coccinelle elle-même, le Volkswagen Type 2 et ses dérivés connurent une durée de production encore plus longue que la berline dont ils étaient issus. Lancé en 1950, le Type 2 allait donner naissance à une impressionnante variété de modèles adaptés à une vaste palette d'activités professionnelles et privées ; l'un des plus rares était le pick-up double cabine à deux rangées de sièges connu sous le nom de 'Doka' (Doppelkabine). L'exemplaire proposé, de la première génération à parebrise fractionné, a été restauré et il nous est précisé qu'il roule et se manœuvre parfaitement.
