In 1957 came the model now recognised as the ultimate Giulietta, the Sprint Speciale, first of the 101-Series cars. Built on a slightly shorter wheelbase than the standard Sprint, and again the work of Bertone, the gorgeously curvaceous 'SS' came with 100bhp on tap, a five-speed gearbox, and a top speed of 200km/h (125mph).
Previously registered in the province of Treviso, Italy, this beautiful Sprint Speciale was registered in the province of Venice from late July 1966. An old-style Italian libretto lists two owners from 1966 to 1969. The Alfa had already been registered in the Netherlands from 1978 when registered to the vendor in 1991. Subsequently the car was comprehensively restored and the colour changed from grey to red, while at some point the original engine was replaced with a 1,600cc unit from a Giulia, providing that desirable extra torque and power. A Dutch expert's report from 2017 describes the car as 'very beautiful and in outstanding condition, very well kept'.

En 1957 apparut le modèle aujourd'hui considéré comme la Giulietta suprême, la Sprint Speciale, première des modèles de la série 101. Construite sur un empattement légèrement plus court que la Sprint de série et également carrossée par Bertone, la SS aux courbes sensuelles était équipée d'un moteur de 100 ch, d'une boîte à cinq rapports et affichait une vitesse de pointe de 200 km/h.
Autrefois immatriculée dans la province de Trévise, en Italie, cette superbe Sprint Speciale fut ensuite immatriculé dans la province de Venise à partir de la fin de juillet 1966. Un ancien libretto italien répertorie deux propriétaires de 1966 à 1969. L'Alfa avait déjà été enregistrée en Hollande à partir de 1978 lorsqu'elle fut immatriculée par le vendeur en 1991. Par la suite la voiture fut entièrement restaurée et sa couleur passa du gris au rouge, tandis qu'à un certain moment le moteur d'origine fut remplacé par un moteur 1600 cm3 de Giulia, lui procurant un agréable supplément de couple et de puissance. Un rapport d'expertise hollandais de 2017 décrit la voiture comme « très belle et dans un état remarquable, parfaitement entretenue ».
